Cooking Instructions for
Bobby Salazar's Tamales
(12 Count in "Boil In Bags")
Boil-In-Bag Instructions:
Boil water in a stockpot.
When bubbling starts, place UNOPENED BAG of Tamales in the boiling water.
If starting from frozen, it will take about 25-30 Minutes for tamales to heat.
If thawed, it will take about 15-20 minutes to heat.
When Tamales are heated (bag will be slightly puffed out), remove from boiling water.
Carefully snip off metal band at opening. Let steam come out of the bag.
You can place the tamales in the corn husk on a platter for guests to unwrap their own. This will keep the tamale warm and in tact until ready to be eaten. Recomend garnish with enchilada mole sauce, shredded Monery Jack Cheese and sliced olives. Great when served with refried beans and Mexican rice also.
Microwave Instructions (Recommended only for small or individual servings, not a dozen at a time)
Start with thawed tamales. Remove 1-4 tamales from bag and place on microwave safe plate. Microwave on Med-High or High for 1-3 minutes or until tamale(s) are warm but handleable. Avoid over microwaving so tamale does not dry out. If to hot to touch, simple wait untill they cool a few minutes.
When ready to eat, remove husk from tamale first. Recomend garnish with enchilada mole sauce, shredded Monery Jack Cheese and sliced olives. Great when served with refried beans and Mexican rice also.
