4 Ripe Avocados
15 oz. Tub (1.75 Cups) of Bobby Salazar’s Salsa
Peel and lightly mash avocados. Mix in salsa. Serve as dip for tortilla chips. Serves 8.
Hurried Huevos Rancheros
6 Eggs
Shredded Cheddar Cheese
15 oz. Tub (1.75 Cups) of Bobby Salazar’s Salsa
Scramble eggs in skillet. Heat salsa on stove or in microwave. Transfer eggs to plate. Top with cheese and melt under broiler or in microwave. Top with warm salsa. Great with hash browns or country potatoes also topped with warm salsa. Serves 2.
Pronto Pork Paella
2 lbs. Boneless Pork Sirloin Chops
2 Cups Rice
15 oz. Tub (1.75 Cups) of Bobby Salazar’s Salsa
3 Cups Water
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Trim fat off chops. Slice into 1 by 2 inch chunks. Brown in heavy, ovenproof skillet in a little oil. Add rice and stir till lightly brown. Add water and salsa. Bring to boil. Cover. Place in oven for 30 minutes. Remove from oven, let stand, covered for 10 minutes. Fluff with fork and serve. Serves 4.
Quick-Chick Cacciatore
2 lbs. Boneless Chicken Breasts
10 oz. Package of Bow Tie Pasta
8 oz. Package of Fresh Sliced Mushrooms
Two 15 oz. Tubs (1.5 Cups) of Bobby Salazar’s Salsa
Slice chicken into 1/2 wide by 2-inch long strips. Brown in skillet with a little oil. Add salsa and mushrooms. Stir. Cook covered on medium/low for 20 minutes. Stir occasionally. Serve over cooked pasta. Serves 4.
Fast Fajitas
2 lbs. Top Sirloin Steak
16 oz. Bag of Frozen Vegetable Stir Fry
15 oz. Tub (1.75 Cups) of Bobby Salazar’s Salsa
1 Package of Flour Tortillas
Slice steak into 1/4 inch wide by 2-inch long strips. Brown strips in skillet with little oil. Drain. Add frozen vegetables and salsa. Stir. Cook covered on medium for 20 minutes. Stir occasionally. Serve in warm tortillas. Serves 4.
Speedy Spaghetti Sauce
2 lbs. Ground Beef
15 oz. Tub (1.75 Cups) of Bobby Salazar’s Salsa
Brown hamburger. Drain. Add salsa. Cook uncovered over medium heat for 5-10 minutes. Stir occasionally. Serves 4.
Time Saving Taco Filling, Chili Dog Topping or Chili Beans
2 lbs. Ground Beef
Two 15 oz. Tubs (3.5 Cups) of Bobby Salazar’s Salsa
1 tsp. Chili Powder AND 1 Tbsp. Flour
Brown hamburger. Drain. Add salsa, chili powder and flour. Cook uncovered over medium heat for 5-10 minutes. Stir occasionally. Serves 4.
TO MAKE CHILI BEANS: Add 1 additional tsp. chili powder and one 16 oz. can drained pinto beans to above recipe. Great with cornbread, shredded cheddar and chopped onions.
