HEAT & PREPARATION GUIDELINES
For best results, heat products (when applicable) as suggested by Bobby Salazar's Mexican Foods, Inc.
MEATS, SIDES, SAUCES, SOUPS - Chile Con Carne | Chile Verde | Shredded Beef | Carnitas | Carne Asada | Taco Filling | Boneless Chicken | Menudo | Refried Beans | Spanish Rice | Enchilada (Mole) Sauce | Bastings
(PACK SIZE: 4/4 lb Boil in Bags):
BOIL OR STEAM Place sealed bag(s) in stockpot of boiling water until contents are hot OR in steam-oven for about 30 minutes (best if food is partially thawed for steam-oven). Snip bag with clean knife or scissors and pour desired amount in steam tables OR serve on plates or assemble into more elaborate dishes of applicable. Refrigerate leftovers covered. Food can be microwaved later.
MICROWAVE Best if starting with refrigerated/thawed bags of food. Remove food from bag, place in microwave safe containers and cook on medium-high to high until food is hot (time varies depending on amount being heated). Some meats may need basting for rehydration. Refrigerate leftovers covered.
CHILE RELLENO
(PACK SIZE: 3/12 Count Bag - Individually wrapped)
CONVENTIONAL OVEN Removed from plastic bag, remove wrappers and place in baking dish. Bake covered in oven 350°F for approximately 15 minutes or until cheese starts melting (time will vary depending if food is frozen or thawed)
MICROWAVE Cook (with individual wrappers) approximately 1-4 minutes on med-high until cheese starts to melt (time will vary depending if food is frozen or thawed).
TAMALES (PACK SIZE 3/12 Count Bag)
BOIL OR STEAM Place sealed bag(s) in stockpot of boiling water until contents are hot OR in steam-oven for about 30 minutes (best if food is partially thawed for steam-oven). Snip bag with clean knife or scissors and empty tamales into steam tables, removing husks when ready to serve. Refrigerate leftovers covered. REHEAT covered in oven at 300°F for approximately 15 minutes or until thoroughly heated. Help hydrate by adding a little water before reheating in oven
MICROWAVING NOT RECOMMENDED Tamales become dried out.
TAQUITOS (PACK SIZE 144 Count Box)
DEEP FRYER OR CONVENTIONAL OVEN For Crunchier Taquitos, Place taquitos in deep fryer or frying pan with hot corn oil for 1 or 2 min. OR For Softer Taquitos, bake covered in oven at 350°F for approximately 15 minutes or until thoroughly heated and taquitos slightly bend.
MICROWAVE Cook on high until thoroughly heated (varies depending on quantity)
ENCHILADAS "Pre-cooked Authenticc" WITHOUT sauce on top
(PACK SIZE 48 Count Box)
CONVENTIONAL OVEN Place Enchiladas in ungreased tray and heat in preheated 350°F oven approximately 15 minutes or until thoroughly heated. Pour sauce (red or green), over enchiladas, sprinkle with cheese and broil for 1-2 minutes to melt cheese.
MICROWAVE Cook on high 2-4 minutes or until thoroughly heated (varies depending on quantity) Pour sauce (red or green), over enchiladas, sprinkle with cheese and re-microwave for approximately 20-30 seconds to melt cheese.
ENCHILADAS "Finished" WITH sauce and cheese on top
(PACK SIZE 4/12Count Trays)
CONVENTIONAL OVEN (From Frozen) Preheat oven to 375°F. Lift corners of aluminum lid to vent cook for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Completely remove lid and cook for an additional 10 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes before serving. (FROM THAWED) Enchiladas my be thawed under refrigeration (40°F) for about 12 hours and held no more than 48 hours. Do not refreeze. Preheat oven to 375°F. Lift corners of aluminum lid to vent cook for 45 minutes. Completely remove lid and cook for an additional 10 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.

(COLD ITEMS) SALSA, RED OR GREEN HOT SAUCE

Serve chilled For large bowls or salsa bars, keep chilled longer by keeping bowls of salsa or hot sauce on top of ice cubes.
